The Brew HG opened in April 2021 and is a local family run establishment. It is a bar and coffee lounge, the first of its kind in the village. From its origins over time representing GT Car and Cycle Spares via a flower shop Going Dutch the creation of Heald Green's first Bar / Coffee Lounge was formed. In fact the Brew HG nearly didn’t happen, after acquiring the premises only two days before the national lockdown March 20’. it took just over a year before the Brew could finally open its doors to the public on April 21 on the outside only. 

 

If you are looking for a large bar, TVs, the ability to host large groups, late opening hours then the Brew HG is certainly not for you, we are a small intimate bar and unique both in our opening times and speciality drinks we provide and therefore we are not a traditional ‘‘pub’.  With an outside area (used in the summer) we try to create a bespoke atmosphere which is similar to a continental bar with table service at all times and no standing areas. The inside is chic and comfortable with tasteful decor throughout and perfect to create the right atmosphere with music to complement the cosy environment and take you back in time. 

 

We like to be quirky and provide something outside of the ‘norm’ through our special evenings and special celebration days along with supporting our local community in helping to raise funds for local charities.

 

The Brew HG is an ideal place to meet family, friends and is the perfect place to visit after work or just for a quiet drink. Our teas, coffees, beers, craft beers and selection of wines simply make it all too easy to make your stay a little longer than normal whilst enjoying and sapping up this unique atmosphere.
